Caries Detection

Tired of guesswork in detecting tooth decay? Want to show patients when they have caries and calculus? We’ve got several ways of doing that.

One is the CamX Spectra Caries Detection Aid from Air Techniques. It flouresces on bacteria, and shows you right where trouble’s brewing, even when it’s hidden in amalgams. It’s a non-intrusive pocket radar. Insurance companies like this tool so much that they’ve got new CDT codes for it.

Another is the Ledex WL-090+ from Dentmate. It’s actually a resin-curing light, but you can use it for plaque and carie inspection. They show up in signature colors!
